Saving while you’re in college can feel impossible at times. Trust me, I've been there and it's no fun! Between tuition, lab fees, textbooks and parking decals, there is no extra money left over for you. Even if you have scholarships, at some point or another you will have to come out of pocket with funds.
A Lesson in Saving During College
Ain't Nobody Got Time
Have you noticed how fast the world is moving these days? We are so busy and have so much to do. No time to talk. I'll text you later using acronyms. Important projects are due for work or school. Appointments need to be scheduled. Groceries need to be bought. Dinner needs to be made. Loved ones need attention. Laundry should have been done yesterday. Can you relate?
Keep the Change
Bi-Weekly Blues
Do you get paid every two weeks? Once or twice a month? I don't know about you, but it seems like feast or famine not receiving a deposit every week. I remember all too well making the transition from a weekly paycheck to one every other week. Week one = gas, groceries, out to dinner, bills and maybe a little pampering. Then, week two = pinching pennies, eating spaghetti and bagged lunches, and reminding myself that I will make it to the next pay day.
