Personal Checking That Works For You

There are many ways to make payments nowadays: online, bill pay, and debit card are a few of the most common. But no matter how you pay, you need an account to hold your funds. Here at OnPath Federal Credit Union, we believe that banking should be easy and cater to your needs.

To fulfill that vision, we offer a variety of personal checking accounts. Let’s take a look at each one’s features and how you can benefit.

Teen Access

The best way to teach kids the value of a dollar is to help them manage their own money. The Teen Access account is available to individuals ages 15 to 17 with parental permission and an adult signer. They must also provide a state ID in order to open an account too. As accountholders, they can easily transfer funds, monitor spending, and perform simple maintenance such as ordering new cards. With their valuable experience as account holders with a Teen Access account, teens can confidently manage their own funds once they reach adulthood.

Student Checking (Share Draft)

Our Student Checking accounts are specifically designed for college students and young adults starting their careers. Since you’re beginning your financial journey, it’s essential that you lay solid foundations. Student Checking comes with all the perks of a Regular Checking account and has no monthly fees, regardless of direct deposit or no direct deposit or monthly balance, making it the perfect tool to set yourself up for success. Just have a current student ID in order to open an account.

Regular Checking

If you prefer the simplest solution, our Regular Checking is for you. All you need is a monthly direct deposit, and you can access this account with no monthly fees. Do you have an option to direct deposit your paycheck? Then you’re covered. You can also set up a recurring transfer from another bank or have payments from government entities, such as social security, deposited into the account.

As with all our checking options, you’ll get an EMV card that you can use to make purchases or access an ATM. You can also go online to set up bill pay, review your balance, and transfer funds.

Wise Choice Checking

For our customers age 50 and over, we have another opportunity to earn dividends: Wise Choice Checking. We know that as our members retire, you likely rely on a fixed income, which necessitates staying focused on the future. This account allows you to freely access funds while still making them work hard for you.

This type of account is more forgiving than savings or money markets. Should your Wise Choice balance fall below $1,000, you won’t earn dividends, but you won’t be charged any fees either.

Money Master Checking

Our Money Master personal checking account is designed to help you get the most out of your funds. Starting at $1,000, you can earn interest without the limitations of a savings or money market account. There are several tiers with progressively higher rates, meaning that the more you keep in this account, the more you earn. This option is great for anyone who wants to earn dividends but doesn’t want the hassle of transferring from savings to checking on a regular basis.

At OnPath Federal Credit Union, we’re dedicated to providing the financial tools our members need to succeed. We’ve served our community for nearly 80 years and are proud to put customer satisfaction as our top priority. In fact, our experts are happy to review our many products, services, and programs to help you determine which is right for you.

If you have any questions or are interested in opening an account, reach out to us at (800) 749-6193 or contact us online. With just one call, you can get started toward a fruitful financial future.
