What's happening.

In June 2025, we will take a significant step forward in the combination of Louisiana Federal and OnPath Credit Unions. We've included some helpful information on this page to prepare you for what's to come and steps to take now to make this transition easier.

After our full Banking System Upgrade is complete in June you can expect:

  • 15 branches and an expanded ATM/ITM network, putting us closer to where you live and work.
  • Full banking services will now be available in the Greater New Orleans area, Northshore, and Thibodaux.
  • Enhanced digital banking capabilities including Zelle and Credit Score Management will be available in the new OnPath Mobile App.

Important Upcoming Dates

May 30th

All branches open for normal business hours. Online banking, Mobile app and telephone banking will be available until 5pm. There is no guarantee of service past 5pm. 

May 31st -
June 2nd

All OnPath Credit Union and Louisiana FCU branches will be closed.

ITM withdrawals, deposits and loan payment will be limited.

Debit card purchases and cash withdrawals will be limited.

Credit card purchases and cash withdrawals will be limited. 

Telephone Banking will be unavailable.

Online and Mobile Banking will be unavailable. 

June 3rd

All branches will re-open as OnPath Credit Union.

Members should delete the old OnPath or Louisiana Federal Mobile App and can begin downloading the new unified OnPath Mobile App. Members will begin using Online Banking by visiting BeOnPath.org. All members will log in by using their current username. If your old password does not work you may work on resetting your password via self service.

What to expect in June 2025

What's staying the same

  • OnPath paper checks - Your checks and check orders will remain the same.
  • Direct deposits - Paychecks, Social Security, and other deposits will continue as usual.
  • Automatic payments (ACH) - Any scheduled bill payments (utilities, insurance, subscriptions, etc.) will process as expected.
  • Accounts and loans - Your checking, savings, and loan products will remain unchanged.
  • Bill Pay - If you are a Bill Pay user, most of your payees will transfer automatically to the new OnPath Digital Banking suite.

What will change in the future

  • Debit & Credit Cards - Expired Louisiana FCU MasterCard Debit and Credit Cards will be replaced with OnPath MasterCard cards. No functionality changes.
  • Digital Banking - Our new OnPath Mobile App launches in June. You'll need to download and re-register with your current username. Website logins will move to BeOnPath.org.
  • Website - LouisianaFCU.org will retire, and all traffic will redirect to BeOnPath.org.
  • Routing Number - The LFCU routing number will change to the OnPath CU routing number 265075078. But don't worry, your checks, direct deposits, ACH withdrawals will keep working through the LFCU Routing number for many months after conversion.

  • More branch locations - Full banking services will now be available in the Greater New Orleans area, Northshore, and Thibodaux.
  • Enhanced Digital Banking capabilities - Enhanced digital banking capabilities including Zelle®, External Transfers, and Credit Score Management, will be available to you in the new OnPath Mobile App.

After the full banking system integration is complete in June 2025, you will download the new OnPath Mobile app and for the members that prefer to log in via our website will be directed to BeOnPath.org to log in.

Things you can do to prepare

Update your contact information

Please confirm your contact information so you don't miss any important communications.

  • In online banking: login and navigate to the top right corner. Select my settings to edit your personal information.
  • In Mobile App: at the bottom bar press More, then settings, then navigate to contact.
  • Don't use digital banking? Call us at (985) 652-4990 or visit any Louisiana FCU branch locations for assistance.

Nickname your accounts

When banking systems are integrated, account holders will be able to see individual and joint accounts in Digital Banking and in ITMS using only one debit card. Please nickname your accounts so you can identify each one easily.

  • In mobile app: Press More, then Settings, then accounts. Click on each account to Nickname it.

Frequently asked questions

The merger is set to be completed by June 2025 when we launch our combined banking system, new digital banking system and new telephone banking system.
For the vast majority of our combined membership your account numbers will remain the same. There is a small fraction of numbers that will change. You will receive mailed communications if this is the case for you. Please ensure we have your most current address.
The merger will provide unrestricted access to all 15 branches across the Greater New Orleans Area and the River Parishes, better digital banking capabilities, and more ITM capabilities.
For Legacy OnPath members new branch locations will include LaPlace, Norco, Gramercy, Hammond, and Gonzales. For Legacy LFCU members their new branch locations include all OnPath branches in the Southshore, Northshore and Thibodaux regions.
Yes, all current branches will remain open, and you will have access to additional branches.
Full banking services, including loan payments without video assistance, mini statements, debit card prints, financial counseling and more.
The new OnPath Mobile App will be available for download in June 2025. Legacy OnPath members will need to re-register. Legacy LFCU members will be able to log in with their curent name and password.
For Legacy OnPath members will have access to a more comprehensive Card Control system, easier external loan payment and transfers and an overall better navigation. Legacy LFCU members will gain access to Zelle, External Transfers and Loan Payments, and Credit Monitoring.
New OnPath MasterCard Debit Cards will be issued in late Summer/Fall 2025.
Yes, your current VISA Credit Card will remain active until February 2027, before which you will receive a new MasterCard Credit Card.
