OnPath Credit Union is excited to announce the 2025 recipients of the OnPath Foundation High School Scholarship Program!
This year, 20 remarkable Louisiana high school seniors were each awarded a $2,000 scholarship to support their college journeys.
“We believe education is one of the most powerful tools to create generational change,” said Jay Huffstatler, Executive Director of the OnPath Foundation. “These students have demonstrated resilience, commitment, and a drive to succeed—and we are honored to support them as they take the next step in their journey. Investing in them is an investment in a stronger, more equitable future for all of us.”
These students come from all walks of life, each with their own dreams, stories, and goals. Together, they embody the OnPath Foundation’s mission to empower and uplift the next generation, because every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.
Meet the 2025 OnPath Foundation High School Scholarship Program Recipients:
Yaniret Abreuis a graduate of Patrick F. Taylor Science & Technology in Gretna, LA, and will study chemical engineering at Texas A&M University. Determined to work in medical innovation, Yaniret sees the OnPath Foundation Scholarship as proof that her persistence is paying off—and as a way to ease the financial strain on her family.
Holly Avocatois a Destrehan High School graduate from Montz, LA, and she is attending Louisiana State University with plans to become an Orthodontist. She is grateful for the OnPath Foundation Scholarship, which brings her closer to fulfilling her dream and beginning the next chapter of her life.
Cade Becnelis from Vacherie, LA, and is a graduate of St. James High School attending Louisiana Tech University. He is thankful for the OnPath Foundation Scholarship, which helps cover the cost of on-campus housing and allows him to start his college journey with greater stability.
Miladi Benedictis a Destrehan High School graduate from Destrehan, LA, and she is attending Southeastern Louisiana University to pursue Sports Psychology. With a deep love for athletics and mental health, Miladi is grateful for the OnPath Foundation Scholarship, which supports her mission to improve the well-being of athletes like herself.
Camille Clementis a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy in River Ridge, LA, and will attend Louisiana State University to pursue her academic goals. Camille feels incredibly grateful for the OnPath Foundation Scholarship, which makes higher education more affordable and brings her dreams within closer reach.
Chase Corbinsis a graduate of Madison Preparatory Academy in Baton Rouge, and is determined to become the first in his family to graduate from college. Now attending Louisiana State University, Chase views the OnPath Foundation Scholarship as more than financial support—it’s a vote of confidence in his dreams. With a strong commitment to his education, he’s working hard to break generational barriers and make his family proud.
Madison Davisis a New Orleans native and graduate of Cabrini High School, and is beginning her journey at Louisiana State University in the Fall. For Madison, receiving the OnPath Foundation Scholarship validates her academic path and energizes her commitment to continued success in college and beyond.
Olivia Farrellis a graduate of Archbishop Chapelle High School in Hahnville, LA, and will attend Louisiana Tech University to pursue a healthcare career. She recalls the moment she received her scholarship with vivid emotion and sees this support as instrumental in helping her achieve a successful and meaningful career serving others.
Brittney Fernandezis a Kenner native and graduate of Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, and is pursuing her goal of becoming a dental professional at Louisiana State University. Grateful for the opportunity, Brittney sees the OnPath Foundation Scholarship as a symbol of belief in her future and a chance to fully dedicate herself to her education.
Jaxon Forrestis a University View Academy graduate from Kentwood, LA, and is attending Louisiana State University at Alexandria with aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. He views the OnPath Foundation Scholarship as a meaningful step toward that goal, helping to ease college expenses and fuel his commitment to animal care.
Donovan Green-Lewisis from LaPlace, LA, and is a graduate of East Saint John High School and now attends Xavier University of Louisiana. Passionate about inspiring others through creativity, Donovan is honored to receive the OnPath Foundation Scholarship, which enables him to continue his journey of self-expression and teaching.
Avery Lagardeis a Destrehan High School graduate from Destrehan, LA, and is attending Louisiana State University with a vision to create positive change. For Avery, the OnPath Foundation Scholarship represents more than financial relief—it’s a reminder that perseverance pays off. She views this support as a source of hope and motivation to keep striving toward her dreams.
Janaai Landryis from Vacherie, LA, is a graduate of St. James High School, and will be attending Howard University. She is deeply thankful for the OnPath Foundation Scholarship, which brings her one step closer to her dream career while lightening the financial load of college life.
Davis Madereis a Paulina native and graduate of Lutcher High School, who is studying chemical engineering at Louisiana State University. Davis sees the OnPath Foundation Scholarship as both a tremendous honor and a key to reducing financial stress, allowing him to focus fully on his future.
D’Ron McZealis a Geismar native and graduate of East Ascension High School, and is currently pursuing higher education at Louisiana Tech University. For D’Ron, receiving the OnPath Foundation Scholarship is a meaningful opportunity that eases financial burdens and allows him to focus on academic and career goals. He’s grateful for the belief others have placed in him and is committed to making the most of it.
Joni Pocheis a Lutcher High School graduate from Paulina, LA, and is attending Southeastern Louisiana University. She feels honored to receive the OnPath Foundation Scholarship, which eases financial pressures and reminds her that with commitment, determination, and hard work, success is within reach.
Timothy St. Angelois a Lakeshore High School graduate from Lacombe, LA, and is attending Southeastern Louisiana University to pursue a degree in nursing. Personally funding his education, Timothy is grateful for the OnPath Foundation Scholarship, which allows him to focus more on his studies and future in community care.
Addi Grace Tayloris a graduate of Dutchtown High School in Geismar, and is attending Louisiana Tech University to pursue her academic aspirations. With determination and gratitude, Addi is excited for the future and ready to take on what lies ahead.
Kylie Duplanis a graduate of Academy of Our Lady in Marrero, LA, and is attending Louisiana Christian University to pursue nursing. She considers the OnPath Foundation Scholarship a blessing that brings her closer to fulfilling her calling and making a difference through compassionate care.
Jaiya Washingtonis a graduate of Assumption High School in Belle Rose, LA, and is attending Millsaps College with plans to become a Pediatric Neurologist.
